This will be such a fun class! Use 1/2 yard cuts or be scrappy and use fat quarters. Jerri will take you through each step of creating these whimsical blocks.
This quilt, designed by Wendy Sheppard is a playful and modern piece featuring a repeating pattern of houses and hearts in a range of complementary colors and patterns. Arranged in alternating rows, the houses and hearts create a visually balanced and cheerful design.
Each house is depicted in a unique color or print, such as plaids and solid textures, giving the quilt a cozy, handmade feel. The hearts, also in various colors, add a sense of warmth and harmony to the pattern. In this class, students will learn techniques for piecing shapes accurately to create distinct quilt units that they will use within their quilt blocks.

| Skill Details: | Advanced Beginner An advanced beginner class is for those students who are comfortable with rotary cutting, pre-class prep work, and with their machine. Usually there is prep work involved to be done outside of the class. These classes usually involve a project to be completed at home after skills are taught. Intermediate These classes are designed to teach concepts such as curved piecing or specialty rulers. It is assumed that the student is stitching accurate seams and is ready to advance their skills to the next level. There is usually homework or prep work involved. |

| Instructor Bio: | Jerri obtained her Master of Science Degree in Education from Southwest Baptist University in 2003. She taught in elementary classrooms across the state for ten years and worked with her husband at the Missouri Baptist Children's Home Byrne Campus in Peculiar for three years. With nearly forty years of experience and a passion for sewing, it is no surprise to her, her family, and her friends that God has brought her to this place. She enjoys teaching anyone who will listen to her about all the tips and tricks she's gleaned from reading books and blogs on sewing/quilting. She enjoys being the chapter leader for the Sew Powerful Purse Program where she sews purses on the Sit "n Sew days at Hunters Quilt Mart. She and her husband of 34 years enjoy attending church, fellowship with family and friends, traveling, working on their house build, playing games, and laughing at the antics of their two Shi-poos. She considers the opportunity to work with and teach at Hunters Quilt Mart a great blessing from the Lord! Jerri has a heart for Jesus! She wants everyone to experience the joy that comes from a relationship with Him. |
