Summer Swag 65”x81”–
This quilt is the perfect way to combine strip piecing with a few companion star blocks to
obtain a dramatic and dimensional look. The pieces are large and allow the fabric to do
the talking. In this class we will learn the steps and utilize the 60 Degree Diamond tool
by Creative Grids to complete the quilt.
This pattern not only looks great with red, white, and blue but also other color themes. This is a fun quilt to construct and has a unique layout that makes it very eye catching.

| Skill Details: | These classes are designed to teach concepts such as curved piecing or specialty rulers. It is assumed that the student is stitching accurate seams and is ready to advance their skills to the next level. There is usually homework or prep work involved. |

| Instructor Bio: | Mary Rhodes is from Lee's Summit, MO. She has been married to Doug for 34 years and they have two grown children, Megan and Clayton. In addition to being an avid photographer and volunteer for various animal charities, Mary runs a project management group by day. Mary has taken multiple year-long classes focused on rulers and accurate piecing. She has completed Tucker University, Grids Girls 1 & 2 (Creative Grids), and has gained proficiency with other rulers such as those through Sew Kind of Wonderful. |
