The Elemental Coat - August
The Elemental Coat is a loose-fitting, slightly A-line coat with options! Choose from the full-length, mid-length, and cropped length, as well as 3/4 or full-length sleeves.
Pattern includes options for adding a hood or collar, and for using a button loop closure. Whether re-purposing quilts, or using new quilted fabric combinations, the Elemental Coat pattern is designed bring quilters into the garment-sewing world and give them the opportunity to let their quilt-making skills shine.
Finished size 4/6 through 22/24.
This is a 2-day class. The first session you will decide what elements you want on you coat and cut out pattern and fabric pieces. The second session you will assemble the coat.
You will learn pattern layout and sizing, seam finishing, collar or hood attachment.
Pre-quilted fabric of some kind is needed before class. You may use a old (or new) quilt or cotton fabrics that have just been quilted.

| Skill Details: | Familiar with sewing machine and functions. Thick seams, top stitching, rotary cutting with use of acrylic quilting rulers. |
